I feel like his new album is the comedown of such a dramamtic, expressive, painful album before that. Now its ther aftermath of a big release of emotion, and it's much calmer (hot heavy summer and nica libres in mind)
Reading the comments in a dark room at night, got me so excited to hear this song again in a long time. With headphones on and volume turned to max, I imagined me visualizing this song onto a big screen in cinema, my own film, magically hypnotizing the viewers and make them fall in starves to my wonderful scene accompanied by the best musician this world has to offer. I hope one day my dream comes true, and I’m sure it will cause I work everyday to get to that point.

Ben Howard's best track in my opinion. an emotionally-packed, explosive and moving track, The Burren shows Ben Howard’s rawest thoughts and emotions in his lyrics and his most haunting melodies and sounds in his instrumentation. An extensively long track, The Burren takes its listeners on a journey, one that is all of these; moving, character-building, terrifying, depressing, beautiful and even hopeful. The Fire and Conrad come close for me but The Burren will always remain my favourite.
You get it! You mention nothing of his newest experimentation stuff, Ben Howard was hitting areas where people could only wish to venture… His songs had movement, now…… yikes,,,,,

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the acoustic version of The Burren that Ben played on XFM is by far the best rendition of this song.
Totally agree. Too bad the XFM recording sounds kinda weird, they were using a dual microphone setup maybe it's that.
I'm hoping the acoustic version will be a bonus track or something but I doubt it. I contacted XFM about the removal of the videos and they said they were instructed to take down the videos, presumably by Ben's record company : (
